Thanks to everyone who attended the Double B Production's Barrel Bash in Sherburn, Minnesota May 23-25th. This event paidout over $18,000 and gave away over $1000 in awards including Barrel Bash T-Shirts to the fastest run in each rake on Saturday!

The ground was awesome for this first-annual event, and the barrel bash ran like clockwork as usual, averaging 50 runners per hour. Special thanks to Jim Von Ahn, and Justin Geidel, Barrel Bash ground crew. The I-90 Expo Center facility includes an indoor warm-up arena for contestants to stay dry during the periodic showers on Friday and Saturday. Contestants were entertained Friday night in the theatre-like sale ring where they enjoyed video concerts of Geroge Strait.

Saturday's race will be televised on CBS affiliate channel 12 June 8th at 10:30 pm. I-90 owner Greg Johnson, hired a band and comedians to entertain the contestants on Saturday night with free pop for everyone who attended.

Official Barrel Bash photographer, Mark Bruxvoort, Bruxvoort Action Photography, was on-site to take photos of all contestants. Contestants could view photos at the event, and order on-site taking their photo home with them. For those of you who wish to order photos, contact Mark at 641-673-2558.

Cowboy church service was hosted by Jeff Metcalf of Ft Madison, Iowa on Sunday morning in the sale ring. (thank you Jeff and family!)

Plans are currently underway for the 2004 event, which will host a futurity starting on Friday, in addition the Barrel Bash, which will run Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
