Like a person, each horse has a unique personality. And this is where all training must begin. Each barrel horse we train is on a unique schedule all their own.

Because we value the long term stability of the horse's mind and body, NO horse is pushed beyond what they can handle. We are agressive in our approach, but winning is not our only goal.

We hope that our training will last for many years to come. There is nothing that thrills us more than seeing one of our horses several years later with good legs and the mind to walk to the gate and run a set of great barrels!

Each horse is long trotted on a weekly basis. This is done to keep their legs strong and their mind together. They are introduced to the barrels slowly. We train in an open area with no fences. This teaches horses to look for the barrels... not to look for a fence to turn off of. This also allows our horses to turn better barrels in pens of different sizes and shapes.

Each barrel horse sees the barrels a select number of times each week. We want each horse to love running barrels, not look at the barrels as a task. The rest of our training procedures we will happily discuss with you before you arrive with your horse.

We specialize in the training of young futurity prospects. But, will accept outside horses for fine tuning or initial training. Each year we accept a limited number of horses. This allows us to work with our own and a few select prospects.
