DIRECTORS
CORNER:
As the 2004
season comes to a close, I would like to thank everyone for their
support, help and patience during the past few months. Texas 20
has been through a lot in the past few years. We have lost members
to other organizations because of continued conflict, and the Director
position has changed twice in the past year, leaving the organization
without leadership or direction. Most of the membership has stayed
and offered whatever help they could, to ensure that this great
organization and this sport that we all love so much, continues
down the right path.
Since becoming
the Director in September, I have created a six member board to
ensure that the members of TX 20 have a say in their organization.
I have put an accountant in place to handle the bookkeeping and
have made the books available to all the membership. We have accepted
volunteers to fill the County Rep positions (a few are still needed)
to ensure that the members are notified of any changes to our schedules,
such as rain outs and arena changes.
As a new season
approaches, the board members and I will meet to discuss areas that
we can improve on, and ways that we can better serve the members
of TX 20. My goal is to return TX 20 to the biggest and best District
in NBHA history. I hope to create a family atmosphere that everyone
can enjoy and participate in. I believe that if we all continue
to work together, as we have over the past few months, that this
goal can and will be achieved.
I
hope that the members will continue to give me ideas on how to make
our organization bigger and better. We have a new e-mail address,
Tex20NBHA@aol.com and I look
forward to hearing from you.
I hope to see
everyone at our first show January 8th, 2005 in Athens. This will
be the first of six sanctioned shows scheduled for the 2005 season.
Look at the schedule page for dates and times of all the shows scheduled
for the 2005 season.
Thank you,
David Wahoviak
