ATTENTION WE ARE MAKING A CHANGE TO RULE NUMBER 9.

After further studying Rule 9 we have decided to be more lenient of the No carry over rule to allow for injuries and absences. For a horse to be eligible in both the Jr. Class and Open Class with two different riders, the Open entry must ride the horse 75% of the time. This would give the Open Entry an opportunity to have a Junior that is already riding the horse to substitute in case of injury or absence and also the same situation with the Junior Entry that has been carrying their time to the Open.

Here is a copy of the rule as originally read:

9. You may receive awards in only one division at year end per nominated horse. The division that you are placing the highest in will be the division that your awards will be given in and the other points will be dropped in all other divisions. Junior, Open, Senior and Futurity nominations on same horse and rider will have multiple opportunities to win awards, but then must choose to accept either Open, Junior, Senior or Futurity awards, exception if Junior rides a horse in Juniors and separate Open rider rides horse in Open and horse is nominated in each - no instances of carry over Junior times to Open (must consistently be two riders).

Here is how the rule will now read:

9. You may receive awards in only one division at year end per nominated horse. The division that you are placing the highest in will be the division that your awards will be given in and the other points will be dropped in all other divisions. Junior, Open, Senior and Futurity nominations on same horse and rider will have multiple opportunities to win awards, but then must choose to accept either Open, Junior, Senior or Futurity awards, exception if Junior rides a horse in Juniors and separate Open rider rides horse in Open and horse is nominated in each - 75% of point counting races attended must be in the Open by Open Rider or Junior Rider carrying time to Open for horse to be eligible in both. You must notify the office when this is done or all points will be voided on horse.
